Hi Family dear,
I thought I would just pop a little note on the blog. Dad is becoming busier and busier each day. I'm sure as they (the Bishop and his counselors) get organized, things will run very smoothly...or at least as smoothly as they possibly can when you are involved and over-seeing some 300-ish people.
Brother Pettit passed away this morning. He has had lung cancer and had been given 6 months tops when he was diagnosed 2 years ago. He has had a fairly comfortable 2 years and has enjoyed his family of 4 sons (grown) and several grandchildren. His wife Mary is a good friend and is handling his passing, at this point, quite well.
Other than that, life is moving on.
We miss you who live in Seattle and Provo, and are really happy that we get to see 7 of you here, sometimes daily!

Wow, Mom - I'm impressed that you wrote on the blog. Good work.
So I'm wondering if you get a lot of extra phone calls now. I would imagine you would since it seemed like the day he was called he received a few - and that was just the first day!
